All cabin changes/trades/substitutions/problems MUST go through Jeff Brower (not through the camp) at 512-694-7655. There is a complicated hierarchy of wait lists and priorities that makes the DaVinci code look like kindergarten stuff to go through before you can move, exchange, sub-let or trade cabins, especially at River Haven! The bottom line is that you can skip a year (Go to Europe! Have a baby! Whatever!) and keep the priority to your cabin. If you are not in your cabin two years in a row, you lose your priority. People can (and do!) substitute into the spots of people who have to miss a year, but they do not have priority for the next year, even if that person drops out. Long-term cabin placement (the gold standard!) comes from our wait list. And don’t think the people on that wait list aren’t watching!
